Purple Martin Pole System includes a winch with cable and ground socket. The Purple Martin House Pole is a strong 2 inch square single pole system for the houses. The Houses and Rack systems in this category are made to work with this pole. Very ridged 16.5 ft tall pole can be used to mount many bird houses or bird feeders. The 16.5 ft above ground Pole System includes a cable (28 ft long) and winch (max load is 200 lbs.) to raise and lower its purple Martin houses and gourd racks to any position and a 30" ground socket for secure installation.

The Steel Pole and winch are electroplated with zinc (look of metal) for rust resistance and comes in three sections for connection together. The pole sections use 16 gauge steel and the special designed "X" connectors are made from 10 gauge steel to secure the pole sections together. The Purple Martin pole is capable of expansion with a number of configurations of Purple Martin Houses and gourd racks that accept a 2 inch square pole. These compatible Purple Martin Houses and gourd racks are sold separately. This lone star pole outshines other purple martin poles features and will last for many years. Weight 46 lbs.

Tall Purple Martin Pole System with Rack

I purchased the Tall Bird Pole Rack System with the add a rack to make a bird feeder support system. I needed the height and the weight support and the add a rack provided what I needed. This is designed for Purple Martin Birdhouses but I just skipped that step! This is big stuff and you need help installing it. It is not an afternoon project because you need to dig a big hole, pour concrete wait to cure, assemble the pole system, raise it and then add the add a rack. Assembly steps are pretty clear but I had to make some adjustments so the cable did not rub on the add a rack bracket (that attaches to the bottom of the birdhouse). After a week in service I lowered to refill the feeders and added some tree branches to the add a rack and the birds seem to prefer landing on them verses the metal arms. I wanted to get the feeders and their mess off my deck and I am so pleased with this product.
