Four additional apartments in the attic offer even more roosting spots, and every opening is crescent shaped to deter starlings. The black, plastic floors on the main body offer traction for nestlings, and integrated nest bowls here help martins place their nest. The door panels swing upward for regular nest checks, and the openings on the main body feature rain canopies and landing platforms. This robust, steel wheel ensures smooth movement and rust resistance for seasons of service with a higher weight capacity than similar poles, and its extended sides cover the opening atop your existing martin house roof. A matching, powder coated rope cleat can be affixed to the pole using the included screws, readily holding the remainder of the rope securely in place.
