Post Raccoon Baffle and ground socket are great together. The Post Raccoon Baffle and Socket is excellent at stopping raccoons and mounting the post above ground. This combination can be used for both bird feeders and bird houses to protect from predators like raccoons and squirrels. They just can not climb past the 28” long x 8” diameter baffle on the post. The 24” tall ground socket for 4x4 posts makes it easy to mount the post 20” in the ground. Both parts are made to fit a standard 4x4 post (actual 3 5/8" x 3 5/8"). So the post must actually measure 3 5/8" square. You don’t require a post hole digger or worry about post deterioration in the ground. Both the raccoon baffle and the ground socket have a tan powder coated finish.
